at the Firehall Arts Centre
June 1-3, 2017
Thank you in advance for your submission!
DEADLINE for application & ONLINE PAYMENT ($30): JAN. 31
Seeking PASSION PROJECTS: The annual SHIFT Festival at the Firehall Arts Centre, in the heart of the city, is being reimagined. In it’s 10th iteration, this is no longer a one act festival exclusive to emerging playwrights; SHIFT seeks to give professional, returning or teaching artists a venue for new scripts, ideas and collaborations. We believe theatre persists as a relevant and nourishing form/forum in increasingly conflicted times; we want to support and encourage some of our city’s most skilled and resonant performance creators. We want to feature a program of bold new work at various stages of development by local professionals and offer them, trial by fire, to curious audiences.
We offer funding, space, professional resources and the opportunity to innovate.
Let us help you to obliterate obstacles and get (back) onstage.
GOT A PASSION PROJECT? A SCRIPT IDEA YOU CANNOT SHAKE? A STATEMENT YOU SIMPLY MUST MAKE?
LET'S GET IT UP ON IT'S FEET.
EARLY APPLICANTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR WORKSHOPPING/ REHEARSAL SPACE AT CBC STUDIO 700, JAN. 13/14 2017. DON’T DELAY!
Evening shows: June 1, 2, 3 (Call time 6:30pm)
