In the evaluation (and valuation) of performance we can define 7 possible functions: To entertain, to heal, to make something beautiful, to explore identity, to build community, to teach or persuade, to make sense of the sacred, or profane. Yvette Dudley Neuman’s Titillations has the potential to hit on all 7 of these “raisons d’être”.
With the positive ripple created with our recent female-centred 1Act Festival at the Firehall, we have selected this talented emerging playwright and her concept for SHIFT’s process- oriented SHIFTLab program, supported by a BC Community Gaming Grant.
